Note:
1. The questions shall generally be on the minimum qualification level.
2. Each question will carry 1 mark.
3. There shall be negative mark of 0.25 for each wrong answer.
Detailed Syllabus
Part A- Library Science: The contents of this part includes basic topics that are covered in the bachelor level course of Library Science, Library and Information in Indian Universities
Part B – General English: Candidates’ understanding of the Basics of English Language, its vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms and its correct usage, etc. would be tested.
Part C – Information Technology: This part includes fundamentals of Information Technology, knowledge organization and information management, library management software, Reference and Information Services, Networks and Internet etc.
Part D – General Awareness: Questions will be designed to test the ability of the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him/her and its application to society. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person.
